3 Million Condoms For The Calabar Carnival This December

Three million condoms have been purchased by the Cross River State Agency for the Control of HIV and AIDS�in preparation for the Calabar carnival this December.

Dr. Irene Aniyom, The Director-General of the company, informed the News Agency of Nigeria at the carnival village in Calabar on Sunday that the decision to buy the condoms,�is to�enhance the understanding on HIV and to also reduce the occurrence of the virus.

Aniyom urged young people from second handing the event as opportunity for sex, alerting that �also if they need to indulge such act, they must make certain that they make use of condom�.

She said 244,106 persons in the state were living with the HIV and AIDS
