Nigeria’s Tennis Singles women representative at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Offiong Edem has come out to explain why she lost to Lily Zhang of the U.S.

She recently had her say via her Instagram page, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to Edem, her opponent was simply too good for her to handle, and she considers it a privilege to have played against her at the Olympics.

Offiong added that she did her very best to win the match and she is super pleased with her performance.

”She was too good for me to handle its a privilege playing against world no: 30 @lilyyz.”

“But that notwithstanding I did my very best. I’m very satisfied with my performance.”
