Stepping Down As Co-Chair Of The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Was A Tough Decision – Melinda Gates

Melinda French Gates has come out to announce that she will be stepping down as co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the nonprofit she founded with her ex-husband, Bill Gates over 20 years ago.

Recall that Bill and Gates filed for divorce in 2021 after 27 years of marriage, but pledged to continue their philanthropic work together.

However, Melinda recently revealed that she will be stepping down as co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and it was not easy reaching that decision.

Melinda added that she will forever be immensely proud of the foundation she and Bill built together.

Her words, “This is not a decision I came to lightly.

I am immensely proud of the foundation that Bill and I built together and of the extraordinary work it is doing to address inequities worldwide.

The time is right for me to move forward into the next chapter of my philanthropy.”
