The 2025 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards produced a night of major wins and standout moments, with Seven Doors and Farmers Bride leading the honours at the 17th edition of the ceremony.
The awards night took place at the National Theatre in Surulere, Lagos, bringing together actors, filmmakers, and creatives to recognise exceptional work released within the year. The event was anchored by television host VJ Adams and digital creator Kiekie.
Femi Adebayo’s Seven Doors recorded the highest number of wins, emerging victorious in four technical categories: Best Production Design, Best Special Effect, Best Series, and Best Cinematography. Its performance highlighted Nollywood’s steady shift toward stronger production value and technical refinement.
While Seven Doors dominated the technical segments, Farmers Bride secured the most coveted awards of the night, taking home Movie of the Year as well as Director of the Year.
In addition, the organisers acknowledged key contributors to the Nigerian film industry’s development. Steve Ayorinde, Funke Akindele, and Shaibu Husseini were presented with Special Recognition Awards for their lasting impact.
