Atiku’s Son Resigns From Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri’s Cabinet

The first son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Adamu Atiku, has resigned from Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s cabinet. He recently had his say via a press statement issued by his media aide, Abdulaziz Jauro, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, he is grateful to the governor for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of the state, and he won’t stop supporting the administration’s developmental vision.

He added that the opportunity given to him to serve as commissioner was an honour of immense significance.

His words, “The Honourable Commissioner for Works and Energy Development, Adamawa State, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar, has formally resigned from his position after serving two successful terms in office.

In his resignation letter dated March 2, 2026, and signed by him, he expressed his profound gratitude to His Excellency, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Executive Governor of Adamawa State, for the rare privilege and confidence bestowed upon him to serve in such a strategic capacity.

He commended the Permanent Secretaries of Works and Energy, the directors, engineers, and the entire staff of the ministry for their professionalism, resilience, and dedication to infrastructural advancement across the state.

Special appreciation was conveyed to the great people of Jada, his community, for their steadfast prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout his tenure.”
