Ciara Applauds Lagos’ Transformation, Praises Cleaner and Better Roads

American R&B sensation Ciara has lauded the remarkable transformation she observed in Lagos, Nigeria, noting that the city now boasts cleaner streets and improved road networks compared to her last visit.

Speaking during her recent trip to Nigeria, the Grammy-winning star expressed her excitement about being back. “I’m so happy to be here and I’m really glad,” she said with enthusiasm.

When asked whether it was her first time visiting Lagos, Ciara clarified, “No, this is not my first time, I know about Lagos.”

Having traveled across various African countries, the singer pointed out the visible progress in Lagos’ infrastructure. “When I used to land, I used to see dirty roads, now it’s all clean and it has changed,” she remarked.

Ciara was in Lagos to attend the 15th anniversary celebration of Lagos Fashion Week, one of Africa’s biggest fashion events.

Her remarks come as the state government, under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, continues to implement major infrastructure projects, including extensive road rehabilitation and drainage system upgrades across the metropolis.
