The Federal Government has come out to explain the reason for the delay in the payment of October, 2020 salary to some civil servants.

FG recently assured everyone expecting their pay that the required steps have been taken to resolve the issue this week.

According to the head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, the delay is because the 2020 budget was passed before the conclusion of negotiation on the new Minimum Wage and its consequential adjustment.

She added that an amount has however been provided in the 2020 budget for minimum wage and its consequential adjustment.
