The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed reports claiming that Senator David Mark stepped aside as the party’s national chairman to let former chairman Ralph Nwosu take over leadership ahead of its national convention. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, recently had his say via his social media page, and Nigerians have been reacting.

Dismissing the report, Sunday simply urged the general public to disregard the claim, describing it as fake news.

He maintained that no such leadership change has taken place, and David Mark never relinquished his position amid internal disputes.

His words, “Please note that reports circulating about a change in the leadership of the ADC are #FakeNews. Please disregard, flag, and report such content on any social media platform where you encounter it.”
