Don Jazzy Unveils New Signing With Launch of CupidSZN’s ‘Myth Era’ EP

Mavin Records’ founder, Don Jazzy, has announced the signing of rising talent CupidSZN, a 21-year-old singer-songwriter, to the label’s roster. The young artist’s journey to this milestone reflects years of dedication and persistence.

Don Jazzy revealed that CupidSZN first came onto his radar four years ago when the singer’s father sent him a direct message showcasing his son’s talent. The message went unnoticed at the time, but CupidSZN continued developing his craft and eventually captured Mavin Records’ attention two years later.

In a social media post, Don Jazzy shared:
“4 years ago… a father who believed so much in his 17yr old talented son, sent me a DM to listen to his son’s music. Unfortunately, I didn’t see that message as my DM choke die. 2 yrs later, he didn’t give up… he kept developing himself and destiny still placed him on the path with Mavin. After excelling in the Mavin academy, he is now 21years old and ready to take on the next phase of his musical career. Allow me introduce you all to the newest Mavin artist @cupidfszn as he presents his Debut Ep MYTH ERA. OUT NOW.”

CupidSZN’s music blends Afropop and Afrobeats, combining infectious rhythms with clever lyricism. Expressing gratitude to his supporters, the young artist acknowledged the people who played key roles in his rise.

On Instagram, he wrote:

With the release of his debut EP, Myth Era, CupidSZN embarks on a promising new chapter under one of Nigeria’s most influential labels. Before joining Mavin Records, he had already made waves with singles like Service (2024), I Want More (2025), and Osogeme featuring Wademix.
