Governor Biodun Oyebanji
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has said that Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, will be re-elected in 2026. He recently revealed that Oyebanji does not even have to campaign to win the June 20, 2026, governorship election.
Speaking in Ikere Ekiti, while inaugurating the Ikere–Igbara Odo Road and a farm dormitory constructed by the Oyebanji administration, Okpebholo shared that the Ekiti Governor deserves re-election because of his outstanding performance in office over the past three years.
According to him, he has been very impressed by the scope of work done in the state and the overwhelming support Oyebanji is getting from the people.
He congratulated Ekiti State residents for having a leader who is ruling with their best interests at heart.
“Mr Governor, my dear good brother and friend, I want to tell you confidently that you have done well. I came into Ekiti and started hearing BAO everywhere, and this showed that Ekiti people really appreciate your efforts in three years.
When I was addressing my people in Edo State, I said I promised President Bola Tinubu 2.5 million votes for the 2027 presidential election. With what I have seen in Ekiti, Governor Oyebanji may likely surpass that record.
I drove on the flyover you are building in just three years, and I came to the conclusion that you don’t need to campaign much or stress yourself in Ekiti to win the coming governorship election.
I congratulate you and all Ekiti people for what you have been able to achieve for them in three years,” he said.
Oyebanji thanked President Bola Tinubu for his support and courageous economic decisions that freed money into different Nigerian states.
He concluded by saying that the benefits of BAT’s policies are already evident in improved infrastructure and better living conditions for Nigerians.
“We promise you that we will continue to serve you well,” he added.
