Falz, Liliane Maroune Set To Host AFRIMA 2026

Popular rapper, Falz and French-Senegalese actress, Liliane Maroune, have been unveiled as hosts of the 9th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA). The event is set to happen from January 7 to 11, 2026, in Lagos, and Falz becomes the second Nigerian to host AFRIMA, after 2Baba’s 2014 debut.

According to Nde Ndifonka, AFRIMA Regional Director, both Falz and Liliane are the perfect choice to represent AFRIMA’s vision this year.

She added that the lyricist and moviestar deserve to be celebrated for their African voice and international influence.

Her words, “FalzTheBahdGuy brings intelligence, strong ideas, and a powerful African voice that connects with both young and old audiences. Liliane embodies elegance, diversity, and the contemporary African woman with international influence. They both understand Africa, speak for Africa, and live the African experience in their own ways.”
