The Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II has come out to beg the Federal Government to encourage the military in their fight against insecurity.

The Monarch recently revealed this when the new General Officer Commanding 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General GU Chibisi paid a working visit to the Palace of the Oba of Benin.

According to him, FG can help the Nigeria Army through a better welfare package and provision of needed equipment for their operations, as that will assist in the current battle against bandits and terrorists.

He added that an enhanced salary and allowances coupled with a workable insurance and housing scheme for army personnels would serve as a huge morale booster in curtailing all forms of insecurity issues in the country.

Muhammadu Buhari GCFR (born 17 December 1942) is a Nigerian politician currently serving as the President of Nigeria, in office since 2015. Muhammadu Buhari was born to a Fulani family on 17 December 1942, in Daura, Katsina State, to his father Hardo Adamu, a Fulani chief, and mother Zulaihat. He is the twenty-third child of his father. Buhari was raised by his mother, after his father died when he was about four years old.
