Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has come out to beg Nigerians to appreciate God for witnessing another Christmas.

He recently revealed that God deserves our praise for keeping us alive despite the turbulence associated with year 2020.

According to him, the year is an unusual and challenging one, despite the fact that it started with hopes and aspirations, and we are all lucky to remain alive and healthy.

He added that the people of the state should responsible while celebrating Christmas as it is the period of peace.

His words, “We have every cause to thank God for making us to see this Christmas. This year is an unusual and challenging year despite the fact that it started with hopes and aspirations,”

On the state, “I am sure you have been seeing our people going round to repair and reconstruct roads here in Iperu, Ilishan, Sagamu, Ijebu-North and Ijebu-Ode. They are also working in Abeokuta, Ilaro, Ifo, Ota, Ipokia and Imeko. They are working to ensure that we have motorable roads in our State.”

Dapo Abiodun (born 29 May 1960) is a Nigerian businessman and politician, who is the Governor of Ogun State after winning the 2019 general elections under the platform of the All Progressive Congress. Dapo Abiodun was the board Chairman of the Corporate Affairs Commission.

He is the managing director of Heyden Petroleum and the founder of First Power Limited. On 10 March 2019, he was declared Governor-Elect of Ogun State by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Abiodun was born on 29 May 1960 in Iperu Remo, Ogun State, to the royal family of Iperu. He was born into the family of Dr. Emmanuel Abiodun and Mrs. Victoria Abiodun from Iperu Remo, in Ogun East senatorial district.

He is the managing director/CEO of the Nigerian oil and gas company Heyden Petroleum Ltd (HPL). He is also reportedly the founder of First Power Limited.
