Popular head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis has come out to express his sadness over the recent slaughter of rice farmers in Nigeria.

He recently had his say on the sad incident and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, the attack was very unfortunate and he can only pray that God will welcome them into His peace and comfort their families.

He also prayed for God to convert the hearts of those who commit such horrors, which severely offend His name.

His words, “May God welcome them into His peace and comfort their families; and convert the hearts of those who commit such horrors, which severely offend His name.”
