Months after American actor Charlie Sheen went on TV to admit that he is HIV-positive and had known this for four years, he reveals he had unprotected sex twice.
�A couple of times. Twice. And we would be having a different dialogue,” he told The Sun.
The ‘Two and a half men’ actor said this during a session in London where he is promoting Lelo Hex, a re-engineered condom. He also talked about how his medical status has affected his sex life, his family, and more.
�I was always the guy that promoted it (safe sex) and said you’ve got to use condoms, this and that,” he continued, adding, �I was too drunk or too bored one night and here we are.”
While he says he is thankful that his status has been made public, he admits he hasn’t been having sex.
�I’m not dating, I’m spending a lot of time with my family. Right now I couldn’t get laid in a women’s prison with a handful of condoms,” he continued. �It doesn’t give me a great opening line: ‘Hey, I’ve got HIV � busy later?’
�It is what it is, and I don’t want to make light of it, but it changes the whole approach on it, because it’s no longer about my interests and my folly, it’s about the other person, it’s about protecting them and just being open and responsible.”
Sheen made the big revelation last November on the Today Show.
