I Am Honored To Receive The Veteran Actor of Nigeria Award – Kenneth Okonkwo

Nollywood legends, Kenneth Okonkwo, Kanayo O Kanayo and Bob Manuel recently received the Veteran Actor of Nigeria (VAN) award.

The popular movie star collected this prestigious award recently at the 9th Biennial Lecture event organized by the Actors Guild of Nigeria.

Reacting on Instagram, Kenneth wrote, “On the 11th of March, it was a climax for the first actor that acted the first movie that started Nollywood, Kenneth Okonkwo as he was honored with the prestigious award of the Veteran Actor of Nigeria (VAN) by the Actors Guild of Nigeria.”

These actors embraced fame after appearing in the Kenneth Nnebue produced ‘Living in Bondage’ film released in 1993.

Kenneth Okonkwo (born November 6, 1968) is a Nigerian actor , popularly known for his role in the movie Living in Bondage. as MR Andy. Okonkwo was born in Nsukka Enugu State.

In 2013 he won the African Movie Academy Award on a Special Recognition of Pillars of Nollywood. 2015 he was given a special recognition award by the organisers of the City People Entertainment Awards for his contribution to the growth of entertainment in Nigeria.
