I didn’t steal anyone’s song – D’tunes reacts to allegations

D'tunes and Sean Tizzle

Music producer, Doyin Adesanya a.k.a D’tunes, has reacted to the allegation that he sampled the hook of a song by an artiste known as Portah (a Lead City University undergraduate) in his production of Sean Tizzle’s ‘Perfect Gentleman‘ song.

The Ibadan-based up and coming musician had accused D’tunes of downloading a number of his songs under the guise of helping him get a record deal, only for the producer to sample his hook on Sean Tizzle’s ‘Perfect Gentleman’.

In his reaction to the allegation, D’tunes, who is the CEO of Difference Entertainment, said

I would like to say it’s quite disheartening how people manipulate the media to put out false, untrue and unfounded stories using my name and that of my artiste Sean Tizzle to promote their brands. We didn’t steal anybody’s song and would never do such. It’s just really sad that people didn’t take time out to even listen to the song before putting out stories.

He went on to add that:

We have actually been busy putting in work on my producer album coming out in 2015 and titled ‘Hands Of Grace’. I’m also working on Sean Tizzle’s ‘One Africa project’ and my good friend, Iyanya’s project, we’ve been in the studio twice now and we are cooking something special and ground-breaking by God’s grace. It’s been a long successful career for me and I am not in the business of stealing ideas, I only tried to get a talented artiste a sponsor for his career same as I have done for so many other artistes, I wish everyone well in all their endeavours.
