Founder of Living Faith Church also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has come out to share why he always wears white suits.

He recently revealed this while preaching at the Church of God Mission (CGM) MEGACON 2021 on Friday, August 6, in Benin, Edo State.

According to him, he absolutely adores white suits because they are cheaper to maintain and they don’t fade like other colors.

Oyedepo added that he also loves the fact that the white color can’t fade to black, it’ll always end up fading to the same white.

His words, “Do you know why I wear white? It is the cheapest thing to wear. White suits are the cheapest or you don’t know, try it. I used to crack a joke with a friend and said, you see my dress, the whole thing how much does it cost because I have the permanent white up and down that I wear. If I don’t change it, you can’t know because if it fades, it fades to white. White can’t fade to black, it can only fade to white.”

Oyedepo has been seen as one of the pioneers of the Christian charismatic movement in Africa and has been referred to as one of the most powerful preachers in Nigeria.

He is the Chancellor of Covenant University and Landmark University. He was named in 2011 by Forbes magazine as being the richest pastor in Nigeria.

On September 27, 1954, David Olaniyi Oyedepo was born in Osogbo, Nigeria, but is a native of Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State. He was raised in a mixed religious family. His father, Ibrahim, was a Muslim healer. His mother, Dorcas, was a member of the Holy Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (C&S), a branch of the Aladura movement in Nigeria.
