Basketball legend, LeBron James has reacted to the concerns about the deadly coronavirus spreading across the world.

This is coming after NBA sent a memo to all 30 teams about the need to be ready for possibly playing games behind closed doors with only essential staff present because of the deadly virus.

NBA insider, Shams Charania had this to say, “The NBA has sent a memo to its franchises explaining that, due to coronavirus outbreak, teams should be preparing to play games without fans in attendance and identifying “essential staff” present for these games – should it be necessary.”

Responding, Lebron has said it is impossible to play without the fans and he will not participate in such games.

He added that the fans and his teammates are who he plays for.

His words, “We play games without the fans? Nah, that’s impossible,’ James said. ‘I ain’t playing if I ain’t got the fans in the crowd. That’s who I play for. I play for my teammates, and I play for the fans. That’s what it’s all about. So if I show up to an arena and there ain’t no fans in there, I ain’t playing. They can do what they want to do.”

LeBron Raymone James Sr is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association. He is often regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time, which has resulted in frequent comparisons to Michael Jordan.

His accomplishments include three NBA championships, four NBA MVP Awards, three NBA Finals MVP Awards, and two Olympic gold medals. Lebron’s teams appeared in eight consecutive NBA Finals (2011-2018 seasons). Lebron leads with the record for all-time NBA playoffs points scored, is third in all-time NBA points scored, and eighth in all-time NBA assists. James was selected to the All-NBA First Team a record twelve times, made the All-Defensive First Team five times, played in sixteen NBA All-Star Games as All-Star MVP three times.

James was born on December 30, 1984 in Akron, Ohio to Gloria Marie James, who was 16 at the time of his birth. His father, Anthony McClelland, has an extensive criminal record and was not involved in his life. When James was growing up, life was often a struggle for the family, as they moved from apartment to apartment in the seedier neighborhoods of Akron while Gloria struggled to find steady work. Realizing that her son would be better off in a more stable family environment, Gloria allowed him to move in with the family of Frank Walker, a local youth football coach who introduced James to basketball when he was nine years old.
