“I Transferred ₦125 Million to Regina’s Mother, Yet They Sabotaged Her Recovery” – Ned Nwoko

Senator and businessman Ned Nwoko has broken his silence on the ongoing tensions in his marriage to Nollywood star Regina Daniels. In a detailed post on his verified social media account, Nwoko accused Daniels’ siblings and close associates of undermining her efforts to overcome alleged substance abuse.

The Delta North lawmaker singled out Regina’s brother, Sammy West, and other acquaintances, claiming they introduced her to illegal substances and repeatedly interfered with medical interventions aimed at helping her recover.

“These clips show Sammy, Regina’s brother, repeatedly visiting my home and disturbing my children and staff, especially when I wasn’t around,” Nwoko stated.

He emphasized that despite supporting Regina’s family financially, their actions have caused him significant distress. “I sponsored Sammy for the last two years at the University of Ekpoma, purchased his musical instruments, rented and furnished a flat for him in Abuja, and even transferred ₦125 million to their mother, Rita Daniels, over the past two years,” he said.

Nwoko claimed that medical professionals had advised limiting certain visitors during Regina’s rehabilitation, but her siblings and friends—including Destiny and Sonia Uche Montana—ignored these directives.

“Rather than aiding her recovery, they fueled her addiction and blocked doctors’ and therapists’ efforts. Lawrence, Sammy, Destiny, and others were also using the same substances and even supplied them to her,” he alleged.

The senator shared troubling personal incidents, such as a night when Regina reportedly stayed out until 9 a.m., ignoring his calls. “When I asked her where she had been, she said, ‘You are not my father, so don’t ask me,’” Nwoko recalled.

He also accused Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, of minimizing her daughter’s behavior, describing it as typical of a celebrity lifestyle, while her siblings’ interference contributed to a “toxic and tense” household.

“Imagine trying to help your spouse recover, only for progress to be sabotaged by her family. Every time she made headway, they would smuggle in the same drugs she was trying to quit,” he lamented.

Nwoko addressed circulating claims that he sent men to assault Regina, denying the accusations entirely. He explained that a viral video showing her being escorted away was filmed outside his home in his absence.

“No one was beaten. The viral video was shot entirely outside my property by Regina’s sister and her friend. It was purely dramatized,” he clarified.

He further revealed that he funded Regina’s brother, Lawrence, with $75,000 to study in London but said Sammy refused a similar opportunity and later faced legal troubles.

“Sammy has since been arrested multiple times by both the police and EFCC. What he truly needs now is proper rehabilitation and professional guidance,” Nwoko concluded.
