I Will Drag Buhari To Court If He Allots Oil Blocs To Individuals – Femi Falana

Femi FalanaHuman Right lawyer, Chief Femi Falana, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to avoid allotting oil blocs to individuals in Nigeria, else he’ll drag him to court.

He disclosed this as a guest lecturer at a Public lecture entitled “Politics In Nigeria, Finding A Balance Between Political Interest And The Demand For Good Governance,” organized by Imeri Convergence 2019.

On the proposed $29.6bn loan approval being sought by the President at the Senate, Femi said Nigeria would be thrown into more debt that generation yet to be born will suffer for if the Senate should approve such loan.

According to the lawyer, Nigeria is presently serving its debt with 50 percent of its annual budget.

His words, “Non of the beneficiaries of oil blocs in the past had the technology to explore the oil, but rather they travel abroad to look for companies they sell or lease the oil blocs to at huge amount of money.

On Sowore, ”If you continue to disobey court orders no country will invest in this country. If you want Nigeria to work then our government must obey court orders.

Femi Falana SAN (born 20 May 1958) is a Nigerian lawyer and human rights activist. He contested and lost the governorship election of Ekiti State in 2007 on the platform of the National Conscience Party, a party he served as National Chairman in 2011.
