Hollywood actor Idris Elba has announced that he plans to retire from acting soon. He recently had his say while speaking during a Q and A session at the Red Sea International Film Festival, and fans have been reacting.

According to her, even though acting is very important to him, he plans to become a full-time director in the near future.

Elba added that he feels drawn to a new career path because he has been acting for a very long time

His words, “I’m hoping my fan base isn’t mad at me, but eventually I want to be a full-time director. I’ve been acting for a long time, and I still love it, but directing lets me flex different muscles and be part of the set in a completely new way.

I don’t want to be a politician. But I want to educate myself so I can make real impact, especially with the activism and philanthropy work I’ve been involved in. I may study human science because understanding people is at the heart of everything.”
