I’m Satisfied With The Selection Process That Delivered Our New Alaafin of Oyo – Seyi Makinde

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has come out to say that he is satisfied with the selection process that led to the emergence Oba Akeem Owoade as the new Alaafin of Oyo.

He recently had his say when the newly installed monarch paid him a visit at his residence in Ibadan, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, he has no regrets about ensuring transparency and due process during the selection process, and he definitely did not interfere in the build-up that led to the eventual pick.

Makinde reiterated his administration’s commitment to renovating and reconstructing the Alaafin’s palace to reflect the cultural and historical significance of the Alaafin’s institution.

His words, “I remained neutral throughout the selection process to guarantee fairness and public confidence.”
