Impeachment Effort Against Fubara Is Unfortunate – Sydney Tambari

Former PDP spokesperson in Rivers state, Hon. Sydney Tambari, has appealed to lawmakers to sheathe their swords against Governor Siminalayi Fubara. This comes amid rising political tension in Rivers State, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, Fubara has clearly made significant concessions to maintain peace in the state, and the impeachment effort is such an unfortunate development at the start of the year.

Recall that the impeachment notice cited allegations including non-presentation of the 2025 budget, unauthorized spending, withholding salaries of Assembly staff, failure to properly screen appointments, and the demolition of the Assembly complex.
