Impeachment Process Against Fubara Is Untenable – APC Faction

Factions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State have come out to reject the impeachment attempt against Governor Siminalayi Fubara. This comes amid rising political tension in Rivers State, and Nigerians have been reacting.

In a press statement released by Darlington Nwauju, a spokesperson for Chief Emeka Beke’s faction, the party reaffirmed the independence of the legislature but described the impeachment process as untenable.

He added that APC members of the Assembly must avoid being influenced to destabilize the Rivers State government.
