Governor Ademola Adeleke
He recently had his say via a press statement, and Nigerians have been reacting.
According to him, while the achievements of his administration are worthy of celebration, he is very determined not to let the accolades slow down his pace of work.
he added that he has clearly delivered a four-year task in under two years, and he feels driven to do more.
His words, “I am not allowing the praises to get to my head. While it may be true that I have delivered a four-year task in under two years, I am driven to do more because Osun has been left behind on many fronts.
As I have reduced the infrastructure deficit by over 40 per cent, my real target is even higher. As I have bridged access to primary healthcare, my ambition is to expand healthcare access at medium and tertiary levels.
While our achievements across various sectors are laudable, as your newspaper has acknowledged, the ultimate goal is to accelerate infrastructural upgrades alongside boosting investment in human capital for the well-being of our people.
Very soon, I will flag off the ongoing remodelling of Osogbo stadium to meet international standards. Before this project, we established the Osun Sports Commission and the Osun Sports Fund through appropriate legal and policy frameworks.
Very soon, I will also be flagging off the dualisation of phase one of the Odo-Ori to Post Office Road in Iwo. The contractor for the Iwo–Osogbo Road has already mobilised to the site, and we plan to complete both projects within the life of this administration.
Meanwhile, the dualisation project in Ilesa is progressing, and the flyover bridge in Ile-Ife is making appreciable progress. The year 2025 is set to mark a further expansion in good governance for the benefit of all.”
WOW.
