Fans were left disappointed when Kizz Daniel missed his scheduled performance in Paris, and the Afrobeats star has now clarified what happened. He explained that his absence was due to a conflict between his tour agent and the concert promoter, not a personal decision.

On Instagram, Kizz Daniel said he was ready and eager to perform but could not make his flight because his agent was addressing a payment dispute with the promoter.

“First, this wasn’t my fault. Whatever clips y’all are seeing is a beef between the tour Agent @olamidebaron and the show promoter,” he wrote. “I was paid to come perform in Paris by @olamidebaron in full, he sold the show to another promoter and according to him the promoter breached his contract by not paying him his balance.”

The singer shared that he had been at the airport early but had to wait as his agent tried to settle the matter.

“I’ve been ready since 6am for a 12:25pm flight, thankfully my brother @adesope_shopsydoo was with me at the hotel. We were delayed from flying by @olamidebaron so he could get his money which I wasn’t aware of until later. He resolved the issue with the promoter but we couldn’t make the flight. The next available flight according to Baron was 5:25pm,” Kizz Daniel added.

Even after arriving in Paris, he attempted to make it to the venue, only to find it closed for the night.

“We came into Paris late because of an unresolved issue between two promoters. I was paid and was ready to perform!! I never requested for a type of car or asked they bring an Escalade, all lies. I’ve been going to shows in rented cabs since I got to Europe. I came to the venue still because I wanted to perform, unfortunately the venue closes by 11pm according to the promoters… I tried my best to make this run a smooth one. But sometimes ‘e get as e be’,” he explained.

Kizz Daniel also reassured fans that he managed to perform on time in other European cities despite similar scheduling challenges and is looking forward to upcoming shows.

“As for the first 2 shows we did — Italy & Sweden — I got to the venue at exactly the time given to me to arrive. Sometimes promoters want to wait till they have a full hall before performance. I performed 4am in Parma (from getting ready since 8pm). 1:30am in Sweden (from getting ready since 9pm). I couldn’t do a full set in Sweden because the venue was gonna shut down due to curfew. As for Amsterdam I’m here and ready. The promoter gave 3am as performance time (I have it in recording). And I will be there by HIS Grace. Cologne. The promoters gave 10pm as performance time and I will be there. Excited,” he concluded.

  1. So basically, we were ghosted because grown adults couldn’t handle money? Cool

  2. At this point, he should just start a podcast called Why I Missed the Show
