PDP chieftain, Olabode George has come out to blast the corruption and nepotism that have bedevilled Nigeria.

He recently revealed this via a statement to the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, the recent Lagos State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission Law, signed in April by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is obviously self-serving, dubious and incongruous, and it’ll only shield the looters of Lagos State treasury from the prosecutorial mandate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

He added that the Lagos State Government is clearly trying to practise politics of deceit and self-serving glorification, which should not be condoned.

His words, “Sanwo-Olu’s legislation that seeks to shield criminals from federal prosecution is dead on arrival. It is elementary assertion that once a state law conflicts with a federal legislation, the state law is voided.”

“This is politics of deceit and self-serving glorification. They cherry pick what suits them, railroading their enemies into jail and protecting their own.”
