Mr Jimoh Ibrahim’s Taste For Knowledge Makes Me Happy – Obasanjo

Ex-President, Olusegun Obasanjo has come out to hail business mogul, Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim, over his first-class (PhD) honours in Management Science at the University of Cambridge, England.

Obasanjo recently revealed that he is very happy with Ibrahim’s taste for knowledge.

According to him, Nigeria should expect Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim to keep breaking new grounds of knowledge for the service of humanity.

He also saluted Ibrahim’s resourcefulness, resilience, grits, and genius.

His words, “I receive the good news of your Easter term 2020 progress rating which is Excellent from the Cambridge University.

“This has not come as a surprise to me, given your brilliance, thirst for knowledge and a large appetite for scholarship.

“It is a remarkable feat, a source of immense happiness for me and I believe it is so for many of your friends

“I salute your resourcefulness, resilience, grits and genius.

“I am optimistic that you will continue to break more grounds In your committed quest for new vistas of knowledge in the service of humanity and keep the flag of scholarship and literary productivity flying.”

Chief Olusegun Matthew Okikiola Aremu Obasanjo, GCFR is a Nigerian military and political leader who served as military head of state from 1976 to 1979 and later as President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007. Ideologically a Nigerian nationalist, he was a member of the People’s Democratic Party.

Matthew Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo was born in the village of Ibogun-Olaogun in southwest Nigeria. His later passport gave his date of birth as 5 March 1937, although this was an estimate, and there are no records of Obasanjo’s birthdate from the time itself.

His father was Amos Adigun Obaluayesanjo “Obasanjo” Bankole and his mother was Bernice Ashabi Bankole He was the first of nine children; only he and a sister (Adunni Oluwole Obasanjo) survived childhood. He was born to the Owu branch of the Yoruba people.

The church in the village was part of a mission set up by the U.S. Southern Baptist Church and Obasanjo was raised Baptist. His village also contained Muslims and his sister would later convert to Islam on marrying a Muslim man.
