My Lyrics In “All Of Me” Were Lies – John Legend

John Legend recently confessed to a Nigerian woman that the lyrics in ‘All of me’ are not true.

The singer shared that he was a terrible swimmer and he’s just having his first swimming lessons, which prompted the lady’s reaction.

John’s words, “I can’t really swim. Today I took my first swim lesson since I was like 5. My dad learned in his 60’s so I feel like I’m ahead of schedule.”

After the tweet hit the net, a Nigerian lady, Oreoluwa Babatope asked the singer to explain his lyrics in the song ‘All of me’, where he said “my head’s under water but I’m breathing fine”.

Her words, “So what happened when your head was under water? Did you breathe fine? Was it all a lie?”

John’s reply cleared the confusion, he said, “All. Lies. Hahaha.”
