The Super Falconets of Nigeria have lost�the Under 20 Women’s World Cup to Germany. An extra-time winner by Lena Petermann was enough to deny them the FIFA U20 Women World Cup trophy which took place in Montreal’s Olympic Stadium in Canada as they were beaten 1-0.

This is the second time in three editions that the Falconets have lost out on the trophy. Four years ago, they also lost 2-0 in�a finals against the Germans.Incidentally, it was Germany that also won the Senior men’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil just recently.

�However, Falconets forward, Asisat Oshoala, was voted the Most Valuable player at the 2014 FIFA U-20 World Cup. She won the Golden Ball award as the best player and Golden Boot after scoring seven goals.
