World Health Organisation (WHO) has come out to say that Nigeria has been responding to yellow fever outbreak amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

The UN’s health agency recently revealed this in its regional office Twitter account, @WHOAFRO.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), it is good to know that in 2020, proactive vaccination campaigns were planned for most at-risk states in Nigeria, including Delta, and in total, more than 31 million people have been protected.

He added that Nigeria is a high-risk country for yellow fever, and she is a priority country for the global eliminate yellow fever epidemics (EYE) strategy.

WHO wrote, “This year, proactive vaccination campaigns were planned for most at-risk states in Nigeria, including Delta.
