Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri has come out to say that she is not pleased with the political situation in Nigeria.

She recently called for the abolishment of voting in Nigeria until the death sentence laws are made against politicians and public servants who end up indulging in corruption.

Her words, “We should abolish voting in Nigeria until death sentence laws are given to politicians and public servants who misuse Nigeria’s funds. I said what I said.
Correct me if I’m wrong and tell me what your government has done for you.”

She added that the number one problem in Nigeria are the political parties who only lie to the people.

Film-making in Nigeria is divided largely along regional, and marginally ethnic and religious lines. Thus, there are distinct film industries – each seeking to portray the concern of the particular section and ethnicity it represents. However, there is the English-language film industry which is a melting pot for filmmaking and filmmakers from most of the regional industries.
