No Kankara Student Is Dead, Ignore The Lies – Aminu Bello Masari

Governor Aminu MasariGovernor Aminu MasariKatsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari has come out to debunk the report that 2 Kankara schoolboys abducted by local bandits are dead.

He recently revealed that the news is not true, and Nigerians should ignore it completely.

According to him, he went to the school today and he discussed with the students who escaped, and they all confirmed that no one was killed.

He added that the state is trying to avoid any deaths, and this is the reason for the restraining of security personnel’s from opening fire on the abductors.

His words, “I went to the school on Monday and had the opportunity to discuss with the students who escaped, they told me that none of them died”,

“We don’t want any of the children wounded or killed, that’s what is restraining our security personnel’s from opening fire on the abductors.”

Aminu Bello Masari (born 29 May 1950) is a Nigerian politician and current Governor of Katsina State. He was the speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives between 2003 and 2007. Masari hails from Masari village of Kafur local government, Katsina State.

Masari contested for the office of Katsina State Governor in the 2011 election under the platform of defunct Congress for Progressive Change. He lost the Election to PDP’s Ibrahim Shehu Shema.

Aminu Bello Masari was sworn in as the Executive Governor of Katsina State on 29 May 2015.

Aminu Bello Masari was elected for a second term as Governor of Katsina in the March 9, 2019 Katsina State gubernatorial election under the platform of All Progressives Congress having polled 1, 178, 864 votes against Peoples Democratic Party’s Senator Garba Yakubu Lado who had 488, 621 votes.
