Popular Afrobeats superstar D’banj has come out to react to the messy family dispute between Jude, Peter and Paul Okoye.

He recently urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to wade into the matter and resolve their dispute, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, the family drama is very sad for him personally because he knows how family sagas can easily turn into a full-blown war if not addressed quickly, so he can only urge all parties to agree to a dialogue that will thrash out their issues.

He added that even if both brothers never get to perform together again, they can still reach a respectful agreement that will benefit both parties.

His words, “The saga between Peter and Jude is a very sad one. When you want to fight, you only know the beginning… you don’t know the end.

“If it’s even a money issue, this is the best time to talk. You guys own your catalogue, and that’s gold. People have been trying to buy mine for over 10 years, and I haven’t sold. Same thing with P-Square — their catalogue is massive.

I remember when a bank closed in Nigeria and locked up Jay Jay Okocha’s money. The then President, Obasanjo, personally intervened and told them to pay Jay Jay because of how much he had done for the country.

If it’s a money or agreement thing, let the relevant institutions — maybe Bank of Industry — help structure something.”

WOW.

Paul Okoye, who is better known as Rudeboy, is a Nigerian singer. He rose to fame in the 2000s as a member of the P-Square duo with his identical twin brother Peter Okoye.

Paul studied at St. Murumba secondary school in Jos, together with his brother, Peter also known as Mr P. Paul joined a school of music and drama club where he started dancing and performing covers songs produced by MC Hammer, Bobby Brown and Michael Jackson with his brother Peter.

After the disbandment of P-Square in 2017, both band members sought separate musical careers. Rudeboy released his debut solo tracks titled ‘Fire Fire’ and ‘Nkenji Keke’ in 2017.

On 22 March 2014 Okoye married Anita Isama, whom he met in 2004 during his studies at the University of Abuja. In 2013, their son Andre was born in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The couple also have a set of twins who were delivered in Atlanta, USA.
