Peter Obi Hasn’t Joined SDP, He Remains A Labor Party Member – Yunusa Tanko

The National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, Yunusa Tanko has come out to confirm that Peter Obi remains a member of the Labour Party.

This is coming despite speculations about his defection, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, reports saying Obi has joined the Social Democratic Part are false and unfounded, and the leadership of the Labour Party will soon clarify its position following the recent Supreme Court ruling that sacked Julius Abure as the party’s national chairman.

He added that Peter Obi is still very much with the party, and that will be the case until he announces an exit himself.

His words, “As I speak to you right now, there is going to be a meeting possibly within the week by the leaders of the party to make fundamental positions clear to everyone, and in line with the position of the Supreme Court ruling and that of course will put the whole matter to rest.

As far as I am concerned, His Excellency Peter Obi is a member of the Labour Party. It remains so until when there is any other thing that may come up.”
