A former spokesman of Peter Obi’s presidential campaign, Yunusa Tanko, has said that Tinubu might exit the African Democratic Congress coalition if he is not offered the party’s presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Tanko, who presently serves as the Director-General of the Obidient Movement, revealed this during the second annual colloquium in honour of Associate Prof Abdulmumin Yinka Ajia in Abuja.

According to him, it must be known that Obi is definitely contesting the 2027 presidential election, whether or not he emerges as the candidate of the ADC coalition.

He added that the Obidient Movement are not even contemplating whether their principal will run for the Presidential office or not, because that is a certainty already.

His words, “Obi has already stated that he will contest in 2027 whether we get the coalition ticket or not.

So we are not even contemplating whether or not he will run. But when we get to that level, the platform will be revealed.

Why should we have a northerner again when we can easily allow the South to complete its tenure to promote unity and cohesiveness? Afterwards, our northern brothers can take up their eight years.”

WOW.
