Portugal defeated hosts, France 1-0 after extra time, to win the EURO 2016 .
The team which at the beginning of the tournament wasn’t tipped as one of the hot favorites to lift the trophy, to crown it all up they made the knock out stage via the best losers rule after they finished third in their group
