President Bola Tinubu has met with the nation’s Service Chiefs amid rising insecurity across Nigeria. He was recently involved in an extended security meeting with the experts at the State House, Abuja.

The high-level session, which was still ongoing at press time, had in attendance the Chief of Army Staff, Major General Waidi Shaibu; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke; Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun; and the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Tosin Ajayi.

Pictures from the meeting, which appeared to be a continuation of intensified efforts to curb increasing insecurity across Nigeria, were shared by the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, on his official X handle.

The meeting came barely hours after Tinubu reaffirmed his government’s commitment to tackling the nation’s security challenges, stating that his administration would not relent until Nigeria is secure.

BAT had earlier announced the rescue of 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State, and 51 students kidnapped from a Catholic school in Niger State.

He further noted that he cancelled his trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to personally coordinate security responses.
