Raymond Dokpesi Should Be Applauded For How He Co-operated With NCDC – Atiku

Ex Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has begged Nigerians to pray for the quick recovery of the founder of Daar Communications PLC, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, members of his family, plus others who have tested positive for coronavirus.

In a recent statement by his Media Adviser, Mr. Paul Ibe, Atiku expressed sympathy and solidarity with the family of the business guru.

According to him, Raymond Dokpesi is a patriotic and law-abiding Nigerian with the way he cooperated with the NCDC to carry out the test on him and his entire household when he found out that his son tested positive.

He added that Dokpesi is indeed a role model worthy of emulation.

His brief words, β€œDokpesi is indeed a role model worthy of emulation.”

Atiku Abubakar GCON (born 25 November 1946) is a Nigerian politician, businessman and philanthropist who served as the 11th Vice President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007 during the presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo.

Since the return to democracy, Abubakar has contested in all the elections. He twice ran as Governor of Adamawa State in 1990 and later, in 1998, being elected before becoming Olusegun Obasanjo’s running mate during the 1999 presidential election and re-elected in 2003.

He was a presidential candidate of the Action Congress in the 2007 presidential election. He contested the presidential primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party during the 2011 presidential election. In 2014, he joined the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2015 presidential election and contested the presidential primaries losing to Muhammadu Buhari.

In 2017, he returned to the Peoples Democratic Party and was the party presidential candidate during the 2019 presidential election.
