Regina Daniels Breaks Silence On Marital Crisis, Vows To Protect Her Children And Defend Her Mother

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has spoken publicly for the first time about the ongoing turmoil in her marriage, declaring her determination to raise her children alone while urging fans to stop attacking her mother, Rita Daniels.

The screen star opened up in an emotional video posted to her official Facebook page early Wednesday morning, revealing the pain and sleepless nights she has endured amid her strained relationship with her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

“I am finally in front of the camera trying to explain my family’s problem,” she began in the emotional clip.

“It’s 5 a.m. in the morning, I had to wear this wig. It’s 5 a.m., I haven’t slept because I can’t. My family is actually in turmoil. It’s crazy, but we will come out of it.”

Speaking candidly, Regina said the strength to open up came from the support and love she has received from her family and fans.

“What gave me the courage to make this video is that my family—my mom, my brothers, everybody—is fighting for me,” she explained.

“My brother just started a petition, and in less than how many hours, a lot of people have signed up. That means it means work. This video shouldn’t even exist in the first place.”

Addressing her estranged husband directly, the actress vowed to fight for her children regardless of the challenges ahead.

“I am going to fight for my children, Ned,” she declared. “I tried to be calm, I tried to let go, but I will fight for me. I will take them, I will raise them with or without your support. And you know I will do it, my love, ex-husband.”

At one point, she admitted the situation felt surreal, almost like a scene from a movie, but insisted that it was her real life.

“This feels like I am acting, but guys, this is me,” Regina said. “If I haven’t slept by 5 a.m., tell me why everyone else is moving on? I am not going to cry, oh—they don’t use to do that in front of the camera. I like this video; it means I am tough, and I am not crying.”

Before ending the video, she appealed to the public to stop the harsh comments directed at her mother, who has been widely criticized online since the controversy began.

“The main essence of this video is, please, stop insulting my mom, please,” she pleaded.

While Regina did not give details about the cause of the marital breakdown, reports suggest growing tension in her relationship with Nwoko over alleged domestic and substance-related issues.

Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko tied the knot in 2019, a marriage that stirred massive social media reactions due to their noticeable age difference. The couple share two sons together.
