Ryan Taylor Opens Up on Why His Engagement to DJ Cuppy Ended Shortly After It Began

British YouTuber and BMX rider Ryan Taylor has shed light on the reasons behind his brief engagement to Nigerian disc jockey and billionaire heiress Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy.

Speaking on the Ladders Podcast, the 32-year-old influencer reflected on their short-lived relationship and what led to its collapse.

Taylor, who got engaged to Cuppy in December 2022 after dating for less than a month, revealed that disagreements over professional values and attitudes created friction between them.

“Is it weird that I told you she didn’t like Nigerians? She came into my business and didn’t even want Nigerian staff,” he said, suggesting that work-related differences played a role in their split.

The British content creator added that there were no contracts or legal agreements between them and that he left the relationship with meaningful lessons rather than regrets.

“To be honest, what I got from that was lessons. Everything that happens, happens for a reason. But do I regret it? No. Lesson learned. Next!

“I learned that money is not everything, but not having it is,” he stated.

Their engagement, which sparked massive attention in December 2022 shortly after the pair met during the Gumball 3000 rally, appeared to come to an end by mid-2023 when fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
