The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has come out to say that preaching of the gospel will remain the secret of all-round success for every child of God.

He revealed this while he admonished his members on a live Sunday Service via Dove Television.

According to him, soul-winning is key in the life of every Christian and every believer must preach the gospel to become successful in life.

He added that being an active soul winner comes with a lot of benefits that children of God should take advantage of.

His words, “You don’t need to be a prophet to hear from God, only be a soul winner.

“Other benefits are miraculous supply, divine immunity, You don’t have to worry yourself about demonic attacks, evil arrow, poisonous foods, they will not be able to harm you.

“You will begin to enjoy divine partnership, God cannot become your partner and you will not be successful, God will always back you up, you will begin to enjoy divine excellence; become better than your colleagues.

“Also, you will live long if you are winning soul; a Christian that is not winning soul risks not living a long life.”

Enoch Adejare Adeboye (born 2 March 1942) is a Nigerian pastor, General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God in Lagos.

Enoch Adejare Adeboye was born on 2 March 1942 in Ifewara, near Ife, in Osun State, Nigeria. Born to a very humble background, he humorously recalls that even poor people called them (his family) poor.

He went to the University of NIgeria (UNN) in Nsukka but because of the Nigeria Civil War, he completed his first degree in the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 1967.

That same year, he married Foluke Adenike. They have four children namely: Adeolu Adeboye, Bolu Adubi (nee Adeboye), Leke Adeboye and Dare Adeboye. In 1969, he obtained a master’s degree in hydrodynamics from University of Lagos. He joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1973 and began interpreting Yoruba to English by Pastor Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi. In 1975, he obtained a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Lagos. He holds a position as Professor of Mathematics at University of Lagos.
