Popular singer, Teni recently made her acting debut when she featured in a new production alongside BBNaija 2019 star, Sir Dee.

Even if her role in the movie is still unknown, reports have it that she did star in it.

Teni, Sir Dee will be joined on set by Toyin Abraham, Chinedu Ikedieze, Odunlade Adekola, and Hafeez Oyetoro and the movie is titled “Dear Affy.”

The film was directed by Samuel Olatunji and he had this to say, “Dear Affy is an ambitious project, we want to tell a different kind of Nollywood story, we want to be very professional and excellent in our doing, we want to provide 100% entertainment and unpredictable story at the cinema and we have cast of who-is-who that can deliver the perfect performance.”

Speaking further, Olatunji targets a record of N500 million for the film when it opens in cinemas. “We are not stopping there, we have dreams, we have ambitions, we believe Nigeria is a place where dreams are possible, we have dreams and believe Dear Affy will be the first Nollywood movie to hit N500Million at the Box Office. We have had people tell us it is an impossible dream because of the gigantic nature of the dream but that won’t stop us, the guys from Hollywood who make as much in Nigeria don’t have two heads and we believe in this dream.”

The film is set for a cinema release on February 14, 2020.

Teniola Apata, better known as Teni, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and entertainer.

Teni is the younger sister of Nigerian singer Niniola. She attended Apata Memorial High School and has a degree in business administration from American InterContinental University.

Teni started gaining prominence after releasing the single “Fargin” in September 2017. Teni won Rookie of the Year at the 2018 Headies Awards, and Most Promising Act to Watch at the 2018 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. She also won Best New Artist at the 2018 Soundcity MVP Awards Festival. NotJustOk ranked her eighth on their list of the 10 Hottest Artists In Nigeria. She was listed among the “Six Nigerian breakout stars, viral sensations of 2018” by Premium Times newspaper.

On 20 February 2019, Teni was featured on YouTube Music’s Trending Artist on the Rise. On May 3, 2019, Teni released the video for “Sugar Mummy”. On June 14, 2019, she released a new single titled “Power Ranger”.
