The Federal Government has come out to react to the deletion of President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweets.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed recently revealed this while fielding questions from the State House correspondents at the end of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the First Lady’s Conference Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.

According to him, Twitter’s mission in Nigeria is very suspicious, and there are lots of double standards involved with their decisions.

He added that the same Twitter platform conveniently ignored alleged inciting tweets by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and his cohorts, but will always make Buhari a scapegoat.

Muhammadu Buhari GCFR (born 17 December 1942) is a Nigerian politician currently serving as the President of Nigeria, in office since 2015. Muhammadu Buhari was born to a Fulani family on 17 December 1942, in Daura, Katsina State, to his father Hardo Adamu, a Fulani chief, and mother Zulaihat. He is the twenty-third child of his father. Buhari was raised by his mother, after his father died when he was about four years old.
