Wife of the President, Hajia Aisha Buhari has come out to say a complete lock-down of the country is necessary to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the nation.

She hailed state governors for shutting schools down but added that it will make no sense if parents are still going to work.

According to her, it is impossible to isolate students and expose their parents, else they will just meet at home and defeat the social distancing purpose.

She added that the response from the government since the virus got serious in the country has been commendable.

Her words, “It is commendable that state governors have closed down schools. However, this could be counter-productive if parents are still going to work.

“We should not isolate students and expose their parents. Let us remember that they will meet at home.”

Meanwhile, family of first dead coronavirus victim, Engr. Suleiman Achimugu have put a statement on the loss of their loved one.

It read, “Our family is deeply saddened to inform you of the sudden death of our beloved father, uncle, brother, and friend. Engr. Suleiman Achimugu (former MD of PPMC).
