We Did Not Invade Nnamdi Kanu’s Home – Nigerian Army

It was reported that the Nigerian Army invaded the home of the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB).

The Nigerian Army has denied the report that it invaded the residence of the IPOB leader. The Nigerian Army through The 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, Ohafia said it was residents of the area that threw stones at the military officers. The incident took place on Sunday, as suspected IPOB militant blocked the road against troops of 145 Battalion while on a show of force along FMC-World Bank Road, Umuahia, Abia state, and insisted they will not pass as they began strafing the soldiers with stones. Warning shots were fired in the air by the army, to disperse protesters and no life was lost but they recorded army officers, police officer and passerby were injured and rushed to the units medical inspection room. The Abia State Police Command confirmed the incident through the Police Public Relation Officer and the situation has been under control without the loss of any life.
