Popular US-based Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington has jumped on social media to write on his relationship with his colleague, Naira Marley.

Speed recently revealed that there is zero beef between them.

According to him, Naira Marley is his son since he has been releasing his type of songs way before he started.

He added that the only difference between both of them is the fact that Naira came to Nigeria before him and dominated radio stations.

His words, “No beef between us but he still my son. I been on the scene before him and I have been dropping big booty music video since 2010 he’s my son.Only thing is that I took for ever to go home he went home before me & dominated the radio that’s all, but I’m coming right back for the rest of the year radio is mine every penny I saved in America I will spend it all on radio.”

Azeez Fashola (born 9 May 1994), known professionally as Naira Marley, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He is known as the president of his controversial fan base, “Marlians”.

Naira Marley was born in Agege, Lagos State, Nigeria. At the age of 11, he moved to Peckham, South London, England. He started his education at Porlock Hall, before moving to Walworth School where he obtained his General Certificate of Secondary Education. Naira Marley went to Peckham Academy where he graduated with a distinction in business. He went further to study at Crossways College, now Christ the King Sixth Form College, where he completed his business law.

On 16 June 2018, a remix of Naira Marley’s “Issa Goal” was released and was sponsored by Coca-Cola, featuring, Olamide, Lil Kesh, Falz, Simi and Slimcase. Naira Marley sings in English, Pidgin and Yoruba, focusing solely on Afrobeats and hip-hop. His name “Naira Marley” was influenced by his admiration for the late Jamaican singer, Bob Marley, while his dreadlocks is a tribute to Bob Marley.

During the “Marlian Fest” which was held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos on 30 December 2019, Naira Marley announced his new record label “Marlian Records” with the signing of four artists, Cblvck, Zinoleesky, MohBad and Fabian Blu.
