Lies Kept Nigerian Gays In The Closet Till Now – Bisi Alimi

Gay Rights activist, Bisi Alimi has come out to ask members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bis*xual, Transgender, Queer and Inters*x community in Nigeria to come out of the closet to their parents.

He recently had his say via his social media page, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, a lie was used to keep these people in the closet till now, and he can only hope they come out as soon as possible to live freely again.

Bisi added that their parents will not die if they come out to accept themselves for who they really are.

His words, ”Dear Nigerian LGBTQI+ people, your parents won’t die if you come out; it’s a lie that used to keep you in the closet. You have your life to live; enjoy it.”
