We Will Maintain Neutrality During 2023 Elections – Nigerian Military

The Nigerian military has come out to say that although it is facing constant pressure to compromise the 2023 elections, Nigerians can rest assured that it would remain neutral.

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor recently revealed this to the press, and Nigerians have been reacting.

According to him, military personnel are facing pressure through several inducements, but the armed forces would remain apolitical as it is taking the necessary measures to ensure compliance with the directive of Muhammadu Buhari to maintain neutrality during elections.

He added that personnel are being trained to be more professional even as the rules of engagement have been codified for distribution before, during and after the elections.
